XSTUX is a TUX-shaped tiny web server based on Linux Embedded FOX Board LX and a ready
to run a Linux distribution named foXServe by Kdev.it
already installed on the FOX Board flash memory.
FoXServe is specifically designed for the web developers who want to move their web applications on a solid state embedded platform and includes:
Linux 2.6
Apache web server
PHP
SQLite
WebDAV
XSTUX is available as a kit and includes all the parts needed to mount your TUX web Server:
A FOX Board LX832 with a 100MIPS Axis RISC CPU, 32 MB of RAM, 8 MB of flash, 2 USB host ports and 10/100 ethernet port.
A TUX Case that is 17 cm high (less than 7 inches) plastic case specifically made for the Linux enthusiasts that
want to see Linux runs inside its icon.
A PS5V1A that is a 5 Volt 1A wall adapter available with European and American AC plug.
At startup the FOX Board LX boots directly the kernel image saved on its internal Flash memory. The Flash contents is expanded into
the Ram memory and executes on it.
A fully open source SDK (Software Development Kit) is available (see FOX Board LX documentation index to read more) to build your own custom images.
"..and MySQL ?". Unfortunately the FOX Board is too small to run a full featured MySQL server. We are sorry for the LAMP user but
you have to stick with the simpler SQLite instead.
