Be aware that the /mnt/flash directory is mounted on a FLASH memory that can only be written a finite number of times
(about 100K). Please don't save counters, logs or other frequently refreshed files in this directory but use /var
directory instead that is implemented in RAM memory. All the boards broken with this method usually can't be reflashed
and will be considered out of terms of warranty.

FOX Board LX Long-Term Strategic Direction
Axis Communications will discontinue on July 2010 the selling of all their CPUs including the
ETRAX 100LX used by Acme Systems on the FOX Board LX832. This page explains how we'll
manage this event and what are the alternatives for our customers
New projects
For the new projects we suggest to evaluate the new FOX Board G20 based on an Atmel ARM9 CPU at 400Mhz.
Previous projects
We'll produce the FOX Board LX832 until we'll find ETRAX 100LX chips. Usually we have at stock
thousands of boards so probably the FOX Board LX832 will be available for long time after the
ETRAX dead line on July 2010.
For customers who want to be sure to have the FOX Board LX after July 2010
we are collecting pre-orders with a fee of 16 euro for each board so we'll stock the CPU chips to use
for yours production. This fee will be detracted from the final FOX board price. This fee
could change in the next months due to possible chip price changes so please place your order as soon as possible
(contact us).
For the customers who want to migrate their projects on a new architecture we suggest the
new FOX Board G20 ( see more info... )
or its CPU module Netus G20 ( see more info... ).
FOX Board G20 is a replacement for the FOX Board LX832 single board computer
( Read FOX Board LX832 vs FOX Board G20)
Viceversa Netus G20 is just the CPU module ideal for hi-volume production on custom carrier boards.
